Navigate the Crash Module
The Crash Module records data on crashes that occur on roads in an agency’s jurisdiction. This data is provided by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and comes from the Michigan State Police’s systems. While data in the Crash Module is not editable, it is important to be able to navigate it effectively to find relevant information. The Crash Module defaults to a window set into Roadsoft with several divided sections. Some of those sections are also divided into tabs, which can be selected to view different categories of information. For general assistance navigating Roadsoft, see Using the Map Interface.
The Crash Module will not open unless there is data loaded into Roadsoft. For help loading crash data read the Roadsoft Crash Data Disclaimer and then see Import Crash Data.

The tabbed section – Shows information about the selected crash. This section is divided into several tabs, which can be switched between.
