Add, Edit & Delete Traffic Signal Intersection Participation

Roadsoft’s Intersection Participation tab allows users to record organizations that are contributing to the operation and maintenance of a traffic signal location. These organizations can include road agencies, nearby businesses, and other groups with an interest in the function of the traffic signal.

For example, this tab is useful if roads maintained by different road agencies come together to form an intersection. Those agencies might share the maintenance costs of traffic signal devices at the intersection, and then information about who has stakes in the assets would become important whenever planning work or performing maintenance at that intersection. The Intersection Participation tab can also be useful for maintaining records on local businesses and organizations that are contributing funds towards building, operating, or maintaining devices at a specific intersection.

Add an Intersection Participation

With the Traffic Signal layer visible and active:

Select the desired traffic signal location from the map.

Select the View Module button from the Map Tool Options.

Select the Intersection Participation tab.

Manage the number of tabs onscreen by pinning them. For help pinning windows, see Pin & Unpin Windows.

Select the Add button.

Select fields from the Add Participation Agency window to enter information.

The Agency Name and Percent fields require entries to save the participation.

Agency Name — Select the field to enter the name of the participating agency.

Percent — Select the field to enter the percent of participation the agency has in assets at the traffic signal location.

The percent of participation must be a whole number from one to one hundred. The total percentage between all agencies at a traffic signal location should not equal more than one hundred percent.

Participation Date — Select the Drop-down menu to select the date the agency begins participating in the traffic signal location’s operation.

Maintained By — Select the Drop-down list to indicate whether the participating agency is responsible for maintaining the traffic signal location.

Memo — Select the field to enter any other information relevant to the traffic signal location.

Select the Save button to save the participation information or select the Cancel button to discard it.

Edit an Intersection Participation

With the Traffic Signal layer visible and active:

Select the desired traffic signal location from the map.

Select the View Module button from the Map Tool Options.

Select the Intersection Participation tab.

Manage the number of tabs onscreen by pinning them. For help pinning windows, see Pin & Unpin Windows.

Select the desired agency from the Intersection Participation tab.

Select the Edit button.

Select fields from the Edit Participation Agency window to edit their information.

Select the Save button to save any changes or select the Cancel button to discard them.

Delete an Intersection Participation

With the Traffic Signal layer visible and active:

Select the desired traffic signal location from the map.

Select the View Module button from the Map Tool Options.

Select the Intersection Participation tab.

Select the desired agency from the Intersection Participation tab.

Select the Edit button.

Select the Delete button from the Edit Participation Agency window.

Select the Yes button to delete the agency listing or select the No button to close the window.
