Calculating AADT Using the ‘Calc’ Button
Select a traffic count station and select View Module.
On the right sidebar, hover over the AADT tab.
Select the push pin at the top of the tab to dock the window.
Select the Calc button. This will open the Predict AADT Based on Traffic Count window.
Select an ADT from the display.
The correct factor set must be in use, and can be changed if necessary. See Factor Sets below for written instructions on how to change the factor set in use.
Select Use Predicted AADT to open the Add AADT form.
Select Save.
Factor Sets
Factor sets provide a means to set up user chosen factors. There are seven “read-only” factors to copy from and one default editable factor set.
There are two options to create a factor set:
Option 1: Use the Default Editable Set
In the Predict AADT Based on Traffic Count window, select Factor Sets.
On the Factor Name dropdown, select Default AADT Factors.
Select Edit to make changes in the values and re-name the factor set while in Edit mode.
Select Save Changes to exit from Edit mode.
Option 2: Copy from A Read-Only Factor Set
In the Predict AADT Based on Traffic Count window, select Factor Sets.
On the Factor Name dropdown, choose a Factor Set to view.
Select Copy Displayed Set. A window will appear stating “Copy the Displayed Factor Set”. Select OK.
Select Edit to make changes in the values and re-name the factor set while in Edit mode.
Select Save Changes to exit from Edit mode.
To use the new factor set, select the Select button. The new factor name will be displayed under Factor Set in Use.
