Import, View, and Print Bridge Data

The Bridge Module is divided into several informational tabs. Like crash data, bridge data are imported into Roadsoft rather than collected. Once the Bridge Module data are imported, local maintenance can be added to locally maintained bridges (see Add, Edit, and Delete Local Bridge Maintenance for additional information). Imported bridge data are viewable, not editable.

Import Bridge Data

To import bridge data, select File from the main meu.

Select Import.

Select Import Bridge Data....

From the Roadsoft Framework Data Required window, select the download location.

If selecting Date from Roadsoft CD, select an option from the drop-down menu.

If selecting Data from Folder or .ini File, select Browse.

Choose desired pathway.

Select Open.

Select Load Data.

View Bridge Data

Make the Bridge layer visible and active.

Using the Selection tool, select one or more bridges from the map.

Right-click on the map and select View Module, or select View Module from the map options.

Select each tab to the right of the map to view all data associated with the selected bridge.

With the exception of Local Maintenance, bridge data cannot be edited.

Bridge Data Print Screen

Bridge data are printable as a print screen (or screenshot) for individually selected bridges. The print screen is simply the entire dataset for the selected bridge provided in a report format. See Generate Bridge Report for additional reporting options.

Make the Bridge layer visible and active.

Using the Selection tool, select the desired bridge.

The print screen option only supports one bridge selection at a time.

Right-click on the map and select View Module, or select View Module from the map options.

Select the Print button located below the tabbed data options.

Choose an output option.

Select the Printer Icon to print to a paper source.

  1. Use the Name drop-down to select the desired printer.
  2. Select OK.
  • Select File for additional export options.

    Exports to Excel and CSV are not recommended. The print screen option is not formatted for this type of output.

    1. Select either Export to PDF, Export to Excel, or Export to CSV.
    2. Choose a destination for the report.
    3. Select the Save button.
    4. Follow the printing instructions on the selected export option to print.
