Add, Edit & Delete Custom Fields
Custom fields are a Roadsoft feature that replace existing user-defined fields. Custom fields are available in the Road, Culvert, Sign, Sidewalk, and Drainage Structure Modules. There are several field type options including Date, Decimal, Long Note, Lookup (drop-down list), Short String, Whole Number, and Yes/No Flag. Custom fields provide agencies with an opportunity to fulfill specific data collection needs that are not present within the available standard Roadsoft fields. There are no limits to creating custom fields; however, it is advisable for agencies to discuss the value-added and expected data return results for a new custom field prior to creating one.
